Hello Kinston Community and Members of the Kinston Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,

I am truly honored and delighted to welcome you all to our website. We eagerly anticipate sharing our programs and experiences with you!

As we continue to strive toward our mission of public service and community empowerment, I am excited to share the impactful initiatives and ongoing projects led by our chapter. Our commitment to community service remains at the core of our efforts. Guided by our Five Programmatic Thrusts, our chapter is dedicated to addressing local needs and fostering positive change.

Our focus on economic development involves promoting financial literacy and economic self-sufficiency through workshops and resources designed to empower individuals and families. In educational development, we prioritize mentoring programs, scholarships, and academic support to ensure that our youth have the tools and opportunities they need to succeed. We also engage in international awareness and involvement by supporting global initiatives and cultural exchange, fostering a broader understanding of global issues, and encouraging community involvement.

Political awareness and involvement is another crucial area where we advocate for social justice and civic engagement, encouraging our members and the community to participate in the political process and contribute to meaningful change. Lastly, our physical and mental health initiatives aim to promote wellness and healthy lifestyles through health fairs, screenings, and educational programs on physical and mental well-being.

We are also thrilled to invite you to explore our newly launched website, a valuable resource for staying updated on our activities, upcoming events, and opportunities to get involved. The website serves as a platform to connect with one another, share our achievements, and showcase the collective impact we are making in our community.

We encourage you to visit our site, join our events, and stay connected with us as we continue our journey of service and sisterhood. Your support and involvement are crucial in helping us achieve our goals and enrich the lives of those we serve.

Thank you for your ongoing dedication and contributions. Together, we can continue to build a stronger, more vibrant community.

Warm regards,

Vanessa Nicholson
