Since its inception in 1962, the Kinston Alumnae Jabberwock has provided a rewarding and engaging experience characterized by spirited competition, as participants vie for the distinguished titles of “Mr. and Miss Jabberwock.”
This competition involves a range of social, cultural, and service-oriented activities designed to foster the intellectual, physical, and spiritual development of youth, in alignment with the values and traditions of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. These initiatives also promote social awareness an
d cultivate constructive relationships among participants.
Moreover, participants bear the responsibility of raising funds that not only assist in their own pursuit of higher education but also support the educational aspirations of others within the Kinston community. The proceeds generated from the Jabberwock event are specifically earmarked for scholarships and community development projects.
